Yet, you ask for the world
In words wrapped upon my tongue
In sultry, gauzy webbings
For how can my poetry practice its craft
In light of the brilliance of your gaze
That blinds out all reason
Purging plans, history, stories
Leaving only the needy now
To push our hearts, our bodies into each other.
You ask for a poem
To move and to woo
Yet all I can manage is to stuggle valiantly
In the deepest sea of you
Who have molded my heart, my countenance
To match your look of longing, your self-same desire
To feed itself.
